A Fox & Bear Engagement Shoot

A Fox & Bear Engagement Shoot

From watching the Royal Wedding at the weekend, you can see the magic between any couple on their wedding day no matter how many cameras or pressure are on them! For those of you who aren’t too familiar with a camera in your face 24/7, an engagement shoot or wedding pre-shoot is the best way to relax and loosen up behind the lens without any pressure. The results are so sweet and you have your happy faces and best sides noted prior to your wedding day, you can rest knowing you’re going to work that camera like a boss! Strike a pose, no problem.

Today we share with you an engagement shoot by the photography duo, Fox and Bear. Based in North Wales they are surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, a wildness which is captured in their style of wedding photography. Here’s a little about them and the lovely couple Lucy and Dan who are our love story for today…

We are Vicky & Dewi Clough, Fox & Bear. A husband and wife wedding photography team based in North Wales. For us, photography is about capturing intimate and emotive moments. We adore natural light and love nothing more than getting outdoors and letting nature influence the photos we produce.

We have a relaxed, informality to our work, which allows our couples to enjoy their day as it's unfolding, safe in the knowledge that their photos will reflect the joy and love they have for each other.

And so to Wed - Engagement Shoot - Fox and Bear Photography19.jpg

After nearly twelve years together Lucy and Dan are getting married in Lucy's hometown, Llangollen this summer. They love adventure and travel. The proposal happened in Australia and Lucy's Instagram is full of travel photographs. However, when planning their wedding they decided to stay close to home. To get excited about the upcoming day, we decided to head to the Horseshoe Falls in Llangollen. This is a special place for the couple as Lucy's grandparents have their farm just around the corner and Dan spends a lot of time cycling the area.

We lucked out with the weather with an amazing sunset. They are just so in love and excited to be married. I felt this really came through in the session.

So what to do with your engagement shoot photos.

You have these beautiful pics from your photographer, you look amazing together, obviously, you do, you’re in love, but now what do you do with them. Here are our top ideas on how to use your engagement photos. Please don’t hide them away.

  1. Share them with the world! Or at least your closest friends and family. They will want to see them.
  2. Use them on wedding stationery including Save the Dates or your formal invitations.
  3. Get them plastered on the walls or in an album. It’ll be an heirloom kinda day that you will reminisce about for years.
  4. Use them on your wedding day, on tables or even in your guest book for people to write around.
  5. Use as Thank You Cards after the wedding.
  6. You could even use them on wine or beer bottles for personalised labels.
  7. Use them on your wedding website. We love couple with a wedding website!
