Christopher and Stephanie
On 22nd November 2015, Christopher and Stephanie celebrated saying 'I do' with friends and family at The Walled Gardens. Here they share their day with you.
We got married in Greece in the summer and went with blue as our main colour for styling. We decided then to for our blessing in England to keep the same colours and team them with autumn/winter colour scheme for flowers, tables decorations and the cake
In the morning I had my hair and make-up done by two local suppliers who were so lovely and my twin daughters had their hair done by the hair dresser too. One of my favourite wedding details was my dress as I just felt amazing in it and the detail on it is simply beautiful. I tried on so many dresses and when I went into Truly Gorgeous and was suggested to try this dress I just knew then it was the one after putting it on. After I had gotten dressed me and my daughters were picked up in a lovely old Rolls Royce and taken to The Walled Gardens just down the road.
Once I arrived with the girls I walked through the gardens to meet my dad who then walked with me into the venue to walk me down the aisle. It was so lovely seeing all my friends and family as I walked down the aisle to have the blessing with Julie (celebrant).
After the blessing me and Chris went into the Castle room for some bubbly and photographs by the cake in the window looking out to Cowdray Ruins with our photographer. Once we had those photographs we then went outside for our traditional group shots and mine and Chris’s bridal shots. After the shots outside we went inside for some canapés and meal which was lovely. Once the meal was over we didn’t have speeches as we already had those in Greece but we had our first dance which we didn’t have the opportunity to do in Greece. The day was lovely and the photographer did so well organising people with her assistant and helping the day to run smoothly.
Our advice to other couples planning their wedding would be enjoy every minute of it as it comes and goes so quickly that you have to try sit back and enjoy the planning whilst you can. If you love something, then go with it as if you don’t you may regret it later on.
