Fairy Fancy Photoshoot at Askham Hall
Oh May God, how has it come around to the fifth month already? May heralds the fact that we are well and truly in the wedding season for 2017 with no question – although luckily at And So To Wed we’re always in wedding season! This Bank Holiday we are bringing you the most stunning photoshoot from Typical Type, purveyors of the finest light up letters and general good times. Light up letters are THE décor go to at the moment, and for good reason – they’re an incredible focal piece for the room, they obviously add excellent light, and they make for smashing photo opportunities. However, if you thought that they only look good in industrial warehouse or big tipi wedding settings, this shoot at Askham Hall is here to completely prove you wrong. A gorgeous blend of colour pop and whimsy, this Fairy Fancy Wedding Shoot is an absolute delight.
We love the blend of edgy brights and soft, romantic elements, all brought together by the über talented Nina Marika. Just look at those geometric terraniums set on the textured table runner, and the colour-changing candles! And don’t get us started on the place settings. Before we started in the wedding industry, we didn’t know plates would ever excite us this much…and yet, here we are. Dip dyed napkins inject an excellent shot of colour without being overbearing, and the hand-lettered, watercolour ink blot stationery is to die for.
The gorgeous bride looks perfect in her Legend bridal dress with the most incredible skirt detailing, accompanied by effortless tousled waves and a plait by Katie Simpson Hair. No Fairytale would be complete without some cheek and mischief, and the super cute flower girls provide this in abundance. Their dresses, H&M designs dip dyed by Legend, are the perfect outfits in which to roam free, ribbons trailing behind them. Glitter in your hands, sparkle in your eyes – perfect.
