Greenery + Golden Inspired Bridal Style
Remember the dreaaaamy seaside bridal shoot we showcased a couple of months ago, featuring the world’s most gorgeous bride and incredible painted walls? Well, Edith & Winston Bridalwear are back treating us again with another sumptuous shoot, this time showcasing Pantone’s Colour Of The Year, Greenery.
Becca Lord-Lyon, owner of Edith & Winston, says “I’ve seen Greenery from Pantone influence lots of our brides’ wedding days this year. They’ve used the colour for their bridesmaid gowns and the flowers that they chose. We wanted to show that you can still maximise the use of green on your day even if you have seen it at a wedding this year already.”
The talented team behind the shoot definitely did just that, by using it an accent colour to make it really pop. We love the details of this shot – and whilst we’re talking about details, HOW GOOD are the hair colours in this shoot? Loving the fierce underwater vibes from Georgina and the fiery red from Netsai – bride babes or what!
The shoot took place in the beautiful and serene Sandhole Oak Barn, which is nestled in idyllic countryside and has it’s very own lake (ok, don’t brag!). Choosing the right venue was also one of Rebecca’s top tips in maximising the Greenery trend – when she saw Sandhole Oak Barn she knew it was the perfect backdrop.
When you hear “Greenery”, you automatically think bouquets. I can see you nodding, and then your eyes glazing over as you think of all the foliage-inspired bouquets you’ve already seen this year. This one by Precious Things, however, is phenomenal, and super different. With a truly foraged look, the bouquet is a stunning array of textures and shapes, with differing shades of vibrant green threading the whole thing together beautifully. Every time you look at the bouquet, you see something different and even more wonderful than the last time you looked - +10 points if you noticed the gorgeous succulent nestled in there! Foliage is also used in the gorgeous QuaintlyKate stationery (she's in our shop, don't ya know) and on the stunning cake, made by Marie Antoinette Cakes, who are famous for their clean and sharp edges and incredible uncluttered design work.
Yellows and golds were used to really make the greenery stand out, as shown in the gorgeous three-tier cake and the venue styling. With golden sequin tablecloths sitting beneath lofty sylvan candelabra arrangements and votive candles, and a twinkly foliage-adorned backdrop, the look is decadent and glamorous whilst still being über-chic and a lot of fun. This carries on through the incredible yellow spherical balloons, finished with gold tasselling along the string, which scream It’s time to party. And not forgetting the gorgeous arrangements of bold and warm yellow dahlias and sunflower heads, brought together in golden syrup tins. Yes, you read that correctly. What an incredible way to tie the theme together, with the perfect colouring to match – completely inspired!
And what would a wedding party be without a stunning bride (or two!)? Georgina and Netsai both look radiant in their dresses, available from Edith & Winston Bridalwear in the North-West. Featuring stunning applique detail, fine tulle finishing and gorgeous necklines – a halterneck wedding dress, anybody? – they look radiant in their gorgeous designs. Their look was completed with Make Up done by The Dollz Samantha Mercer. We’re especially loving the vibrant red lips on them both, which somehow work seamlessly alongside the other bright colours of the shoot.
