June has topped the charts for sunny wedding days but we’re still soaking up the summer wedding vibes as we continue into July. Yey! We've definitely not had enough ice lollies just yet!
So what when down in June at And so to Wed?
We started the month with a piece from Hannah at the Conscious Bride, her ethos is incredible and really opened our eyes to become more ‘green’ here at And so to Wed and just in general every day life. If you missed out on how to get an ethnically sourced wedding dress, catch up here…
We’ve been whisked away to the beach twice this month, lucky us. One shoot showcasing the traditional British seaside with pastel ice cream colours putting us right in the summery mood. This shoot was full of fun and not to mention a cute donkey or three. Showcasing beautiful plus-size bridalwear were Edith & Winston’s gorgeous dresses: one of them ruched, one of them lacy and sheer, demonstrating that there is no such thing as a 'beach wedding dress', anything can work.
We were then lured to the sea by the Greek Siren’s Song and transported into a mythological shoot with quirky, magical details. It was a fantasy bridal shoot with stunning accessories and a mix of beach chic with lux elegant details.
Keeping along the Greek goddess theme, we featured a rustic grecian styled shoot brought together by a fabulous team of suppliers. The hair vines and styling screamed ancient Greek goddess loud and clear. The rustic table styling was set for a greek god feast with luscious fruit and foliage adorning the table with hints of gold a beautifully bespoke napkins embroidered by Heidi at Extra Special Touch.
We honoured the guys in our life with a piece about Father of Bride’s and a clear message to ushers who haven’t got a clue about what their roles entail. Maybe print this blog post and leave it somewhere loud and clear for them to read and absorb.
A Live Network gave us a super useful insight into hiring wedding entertainment for your wedding day. These guys really are the pros in the industry A list of possible musicians and artists to keep your guests entertained. Take a look at the post for so many ideas.
The dresses we’ve shown this month have made us want to get married all over again or just pretend so we can try loads on in the boutiques. The couture dresses from Caroline Arthur were divine and the level of service throughout the design and making process for your bespoke wedding dress sounds incredible.
The Bridal Emporium trunk show also showed us that you can bag that dream dress within your budget without sacrificing quality and style.
Finally, we gave you a guide for the back packer bride, where to go and when.
