March over on And so to Wed
March you were supposed to Spring like! Instead, we got a visit from a Beast from the East leaving us all still waiting not so patiently anymore for the Spring sunshine. Yep, still waiting!
Despite the weather, though March was a good one over at And so to Wed. We’ve had some stunning real weddings featured throughout the month, some top advice posts and ending the month on a high with our Shop Indie week with And so to Shop.
So here’s a little round-up of all the things that have kept us feeling cosy in the snowy March weather.
Literally, Sound Advice
The Ever-Growing Shopping List
We had some amazing giveaways through And so to Shop. It left us yearning for more. You’re probably the same, with the fab suppliers we now have on the shop, our list is growing! Earlier in the month we featured Beespoke denim jackets and that was it, we were sold on these for bride, bridesmaids, wedding days and hen parties. Let’s just say we now show these to every bride we meet!
We expressed our love for our wedding shop suppliers this month too by sharing a bit about some of the team that are part of our And so to Wed community. We call it a community, but to be honest, we’re more like a family. Celebrating the fact that we are small (but mighty) businesses with actual people behind the brands who are just so grateful and excited that people support small and shop indie.
Three blooming gorgeous couples shared their wedding days with us this month. Christina & Paul’s Scottish Wedding day had the winning combination of a stunning Pronovias gown, pretty, overflowing florals and a string quartet oozed sheer wedding day elegance. Teamed with killer shoes from Badgley Mischka and timeless Chanel perfume equaled pure wedding perfection! There were smiles and laughs captured so naturally by Carley Buick.
We had a beautifully creative couple, Kelly and Chris in the middle of the month. Their rustic and extremely elegant wedding style with Lord of the Rings and Jurassic Park details was quirky, stunning and totally them. Love love love!
Then, finally, Joanna Cleeve Photography took us on a rollercoaster ride of a wedding day. Capturing the beautiful, heartfelt emotions of Emily and Julian’s wedding day. There were smiles, romance, happy tears and lots of laughs.
Spending Time with Family
Mother’ Day and Easter celebrations this month meant we had some lovely family time to celebrate both. So many flowers, chocolates and other cute goodies flooded the Internet. It was nice to just switch off those days and enjoy the time. We did a blog post on how to manage Mother’s during your wedding planning, some advice worth looking at. Love them to bits, but sometimes….yep, you know what we mean!
We also looked at 5 reasons while you should have an Easter Wedding. Of course, chocolate was mentioned!
Spring and Snow Inspiration
Yes, we had the best of both snow and spring over on the blog this month with styled shoots from extremely talented and creative teams of people. Avonné Photography tamed the beast from the east and captured an incredible snowy abbey shoot. It was dramatic, serene and graceful. We loved it!
