Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside
This idyllic seaside series, shot in the wonderful Blackpool, is a beautiful homage to the best of British memories: summers spent on the coast. Whether you ran around Rhyl, milled around Margate or sunned yourself in Scarborough, quintessential Britishness can be captured in a beach trip weighed down with humongous portions of fish and chips, the beautiful candy coloured backdrops of beach huts and murals and that wonderful salty sea air. Edith & Winston have beautifully captured this sense of giggly childlike glee in their stunning photo shoot!
Showcasing their beautiful plus-size bridalwear, Georgina looks stunning in Edith & Winston’s gorgeous dresses: one of them ruched, one of them lacy and sheer, demonstrating that there is no such thing as a 'beach wedding dress', anything can work. We adore the brightly coloured floral crowns by Clea Broad (making our mouths water for sticks of rock…) and love the fact that the donkeys are getting into the spirit of it too! The beautiful coral tones of the bouquet from Paragon Floral Design are setting our hearts alight, providing a deep contrast to the gorgeous and soft light of the shoot.
Firinn Photography have absolutely wowed us with every image. At ASTW HQ we’re fully crushing on the double exposure photo of Georgina under the pier. This artsy shot is a full on electric paradise, and a perfect example of why some experiments with a wedding photographer’s ideas can yield stunning results. On top of that, any bride who trusts herself to a melting 99 whilst she’s wearing all white is a heroine in our eyes – we salute you, Georgina Horne!
So if you're thinking of having a seaside wedding, or just love any sort of beautiful bridal inspiration, immerse yourself in this swoon worthy, truly fabulous Blackpool shoot. Enjoy!
