Soft Luxe Wedding Inspiration

Soft Luxe Wedding Inspiration

Today we're sharing with you a stunning styled photo shoot that oozes romance! Packed with delicious detail, a soft colour palette and metallic touches, a must for your 2016 wedding. If you're planning a Spring/Summer wedding let this photo shoot inspire you!

Caroline from Amazing Faces shares the inspiration behind this gorgeous Luxe wedding shoot.

We wanted to create a look that suited the style of our work collectively, and complemented the beautiful venue perfectly. A pretty, romantic and soft look seemed a perfect fit, allowing us to create a classic luxe style in the Axnoller barn.

A palette of fresh whites, creams, blush pinks and peaches is one that never dates, and is beautiful for any season. Ivory and blush pink gowns with lots of floaty tulle and subtle details were perfect for this, complemented by smart deep blue suits, more contemporary than classic grey. Silver, blush pink and feather accessories add the finishing touch.

The hair and makeup was intentionally quite dramatic whilst still being soft and wearable enough for those who are a little nervous about being ‘done-up’. Caroline and Elke from Amazing Face specialise in hair and makeup techniques that last all day and give a beautiful look in person and on camera. The overall effect is striking but unashamedly feminine. Hair options obviously depend on your chosen gown, veil and hair accessories. A loose, wavy look worked beautifully well with the brides wearing flowers in their hair.

The flowers chosen included roses, tulips, genista, phlox, chrysanthemum blooms and lisianthus, many of which are available all year round and smell heavenly. For a high-impact, ‘luxe’ look, beautiful in contrast with the industrial look of the barn, foliage was kept to a minimum. A mixture of high level and lower arrangements along the table, with crystal candelabras and hundreds of candles, created a romantic setting. Tall centrepiece designs definitely give the wow-factor, but a mixture of heights is great to help break up the visual space.

For the bridal blooms, hair flowers and buttonholes, mixed seasonal greenery was used to reflect current trends for looser, more natural flower schemes. This look contrasts with the smart, rose-filled reception, but the colours tie everything together. Don’t be afraid to mix up different styles if that’s what you want… it can definitely be done!

To complement the flowers, gowns and general styling of the shoot, Lisa’s cakes incorporated stunning hand-made sugar flowers and feather icing effect. A trio of cakes like this creates amazing impact, giving a real focal point for your reception, and obviously can feed a large crowd so provides a great option for your dessert. However, if you wanted this high impact effect but didn’t have a large number to feed, you might include dummy tiers in the design.

The overall look and feel of the shoot will hopefully inspire you to create your own fabulous wedding day.

Enjoy x
