Springing into May

Springing into May

What a month! We feel very much into the wedding season now and this month has been an incredible one to kick start the Spring in our step we all needed. We’ve met a lot of new and exciting wedding suppliers this month, featured beautiful couples and been out and about at wedding fairs and shoots. Lots for you to catch up on, so here’s just a recap!

We started April with a beautiful spring shoot, Alone in the Woods. A boho style elopement in a secluded woods and romantic yurt. This shoot gave us the Spring spirit we needed. Take a look at the post here. The flower crown is just a dream too.

We looked at the Pampas grass trend and shared some ideas to how you can use this mysterious grass in your wedding decor.

Some exciting news landed in our inbox from the modern and uber cool We are Rewritten. They’ve recently launched a new style in their collection of bridesmaid dresses, The Seville Dress. And to top that they’ve added new colours to their range, which we love!

We were totally inspired by House of Bilimoria too, her story, her concept and her bespoke bridal accessories business. If you missed it, fear not, it’s here.

We caught up with the lovely Martha from Anemone, she gave us an update on her wedding venue search and gave us some sound advice about looking wedding venues. Can't wait to hear more!

It’s been a month of wedding fairs too. There’s been a lot of lovely wedding fairs happening this month across the country. We featured the Chilli Barn Wedding showcase and The Blossom Barn fair which was followed by a beautiful boho photo shoot.

The Chilli Barn showcase was a fab set up of Northern wedding suppliers who came together to show off the potential of the venue and inspire engaged couples. The tipi from Bar Events kept everyone warm and toasty by huddling around their tipi campfire.

Speaking of warm and snuggly, we featured a cosy wedding with the wedding reception hosted at home. Sophie and Steven shared their day with us. It was full of DIY details handcrafted by the couple. There was sentimental decor and a lot of love in the room. If you missed it, take a look! It’s super lovely.

We even went beyond weddings with a wedding anniversary shoot by Paul and Nanda. The couple, Paul and Hannah, have a gorgeous love story and the photography by Paul and Nanda let’s us see the story of their wedding day unfold too.

Thank you for reading this month. We're on the lookout for more Indie Bride's to share their wedding planning adventure and for real wedding and stories to share. Get in touch and have a lovely May!

With the Royal Wedding being the main focus in the world of weddings in May, we’re excited about the buzz all around it, not to mention the photos!
