The Aisle Bridal Boutique Ilkley

The Aisle Bridal Boutique Ilkley

Happy bank holiday Monday everyone! What a weekend of gorgeous weather. There have been some very lucky couples getting married this weekend.

A little while ago we caught up with Katie from Beespoke, the bridal denim jacket designer. As well as these amazing custom denim jackets, Katie owns The Aisle, a beautiful bridal boutique in Ilkley. The designer dresses she stocks are aimed at the fashion-forward bride looking to create their own unique, edgy style on their wedding day.

The photos of the boutique by Natasha Cadman capture the elegant interior and dress displays in such a lovely way. The Aisle’s interior is styled to perfection with a beautiful backdrop to display the stunning designer dresses and a pretty pink sofa for consultations. The funky flamingo bathroom is a stunner too!

From years of experience in the fashion industry, Katie knows her stuff. She tells us a bit about the designers she stocks in her boutique and what makes them so unique.

The Aisle - Kaite

We wanted our boutique to be a little bit different  - our ethos is Bridal Meets Fashion, so we wanted to pick brands that portrayed the same message.  Our designers include:

Temple by Bo and Luca

A really cool Australian band with a nod to the 70s.  Simple silhouettes with beautiful hand beaded elements.

Soon Bride

Fashion forward British design blended with delicate details to make dreamy and wearable silhouettes for those seeking a relaxed wedding style.

French by Wendy Makin

Utilising exquisite laces and beautiful flowing fabrics this collection is tailor-made for the bohemian and vintage bride, perfect for the modern wedding.

Shamali

Designed and handmade in England, Shamali uses precious fabrics and laces with intricate hand beading.

We also stock Rewritten dresses, perfect for damn cool bridesmaids, Florence shoes, Sash and Veil, and Miranda Templeton jewellery.  (Take a look at And so Wed's blog post on Rewritten)

When looking for your dress, we would suggest picking something that suits your style and what you will feel comfortable in, opinions are great, but make sure its you that makes the final decision - you want to be able to enjoy your day, show off your personality and enjoy looking back at your photos!

We don’t think there is one way to be a bride as there isn’t one way to be a woman. Brides are now so lucky to be able to do whatever they want, to really be individual and show their personality, and we think we are the perfect boutique for all the trendsetters out there!

We love that ethos!

We find that brides aren’t always aware of the alternative wedding dresses available on the market or they feel like they need to stick to tradition. The Aisle and other indie wedding boutiques can offer brides so many more options and as Katie said, to show more of their personality, just what your wedding day is all about.

Some little wedding dress shopping advice!

Remember when going to try on wedding dresses for the first time to try absolutely loads of different styles and shapes. Sometimes you need to see what suits you and you might even be pleasantly surprised with the results! Also, don’t be too disappointed if that dress you pinned or cut out of a wedding magazine doesn’t look as good as you’d hoped, these things happen, try not get your heart set until you’ve seen it real life. You can end up going round in circles, don’t get stressed, the dress is out there waiting for you.

Just go shopping with a clear head and open mind.

Accessorise your wedding dress with a statement jacket too, Beespoke denim jackets are available to buy through And so to Shop, click here for details.
