Top 4 Christmas Cocktails

It's that time of year again. Christmas jumpers, far too much food, old classics on the TV and of course a festive glass or three! Here at And so to Wed we've teamed up with the fabulous fairies over at Mix & Twist to bring you their top 4 fantastically festive, Christmas cocktails. Enjoy!

You will need:

50ml Williams Chase Orange Gin

25ml Creme De Cacao (Chocolate Liqueur)

1 Orange

Cubed Ice

Method:

1. Cut your orange into quarters and squeeze the juice from one quarter into your cocktail shaker.

2. Then add 50ml Williams Chase Orange Gin and 25mlCreme De Cacao liqueur. Add cubed ice to your shaker and give it a good stir!

3. Next, double strain your mixture into a chilled martini glass, using a hawthorne strainer (a fine tea strainer would work also).

4. Cut a slice of orange peel and flame the orange zest over the top of your drink using a lighter.

5. To garnish, cut another slice of orange peel twist and place on rim of martini glass.

You will need:

60ml Cognac

30ml Sugar Syrup (Gomme)

100ml Lemonade

¼ Lime Segment

Cinnamon Stick

1 Egg

Cubed Ice

Method:

1. Firstly, crack your egg into your cocktail shaker, then add the juice from your lime quarter.

2. Add 60ml Cognac and 30ml Sugar Syrup.

3. Add cubed ice to your mixture and shake hard.

4. Pour your shaken mixture into the glass and top slowly with 100ml Lemonade. You will notice a foam develop on top of your drink after adding the Lemonade.

5. Garnish with a small sprinkle of cinnamon and a cinnamon stick.

You will need:

50ml Absolut Raspberry Vodka

25ml Crème De Mure

25ml Cranberry Juice

2 Dashes Rose Water

1 Lime

1 Candy Cane

1 Pink Grapefruit

Cubed Ice

Method:

1. Squeeze the juice from the lime into your cocktail shaker and discard the segments.

2. Next add 50ml Absolut Raspberry Vodka and 25ml Crème De Mure.

3. Add 2 dashes of rose water and 25ml of cranberry juice.

4. Slice a segment of pink grapefruit and squeeze into mixture, then discard the grapefruit segment.

5. Add cubed ice to the mixture and shake hard.

6. Double strain using a hawthorne strainer (or a tea strainer) into a chilled martini glass.

7. Garnish with a candy cane.

You will need:

50ml Gin

Squeeze of Lemon

4 tbsp Cloudy Apple Juice

2 pinches of Ground Cinnamon

200ml Sparkling Wine

½ Apple, cored and thinly sliced

Cubed Ice

Method:

1. Pour the gin into a cocktail shaker, add a good squeeze of lemon juice, the apple juice, a generous pinch of cinnamon and a handful of ice cubes, then shake hard.

2. Strain using a hawthorne strainer (or tea strainer) into 2 fluted glasses and top with sparkling wine.

3. Sprinkle your apple slices with the remaining cinnamon and thread onto 2 cocktail sticks. Balance a stick on the rim of each glass and serve!
