Writer - Giulio Bajona
Hi all, I'm Giulio! I'm from Sicily, the land where the sun shines all year round. I've lived in Leeds for almost two years and I really love the city and the UK more generally (no, I really don't mind the weather). I came here to study Linguistics, and after successfully completing my Master's degree I thought it was time to do something about my passion for words and writing, which is why I'm so excited to be writing for this blog!
Apart from that, I also studied Psychology in Italy. And of course there's my passion for fashion and style. With the exception of a six-month volunteering experience in Rome, where I worked for a local womenswear brand, fashion has always been somewhat of a natural interest, something I've been drawn to all my life without really thinking about it. I think it's fair to say that if the devil is in the detail, then I must be the devil.
I'm also very interested in the intersection between fashion/style, Linguistics and Psychology, because our stylistic choices are ultimately a form of language: it's our own way to show who we are and share our personality with the rest of the world.
Last but not least: my (nonexistent) culinary skills. Yes, I'm Italian but I'm really not a great cook. However, I have no objection to other people cooking for me. What I can bring to the table (quite literally, in this case) is some nice conversation. So if you're up for it, you do the cooking and I'll do the talking!
